Stuart Corbett

Manager of the Club Stu is a colourful character in the changing room. Despite having little footballing experience Stuart has made an excellent start to his FC Buxton Career, A ball winning midfielder, who is at home playing in the middle or out wide.

Andrew Wearden

One of the founders of the club, Andy is one of the most committed members of the club. A hard worker at both training and in games, comfortable in any position on the pitch.

Joel Conneely

At 16, Joel is one of the younger members of the team, a regular since the set up of the club, Joel is mainly a forward player but has also put in some spirited displays at Right Back.

John Yates

Steward John again fills the clubs ethos of being a true Buxton fan. When available John is comfortable in any position along the back line and plays the game always with enjoyment.

Colin Baker

A hard working and skilful winger, when Col decides to rise out of his bed or answer his phone on a Saturday morning he is a valuable member of the squad, a key member of the team in FC’s first ever victory over Burton Albion.

Adam Chadwick

Chaddy is another young member of the squad improving in every game he plays. One of the clubs forwards, Adam works hard in training in aim to achieve a regular first team place.

Carl Taylor

Carl ‘the jackhammer’ Taylor is known for scoring goals at both ends for both teams. A steady eddy full back with a sweet left foot. Known as Paul Merson in the FC Buxton dressing room.

Lee Reville

Twenty shots ‘Revs’ is a tenacious pacy striker, who is often a thorn in defenders side. An eye for goal and a few twists and turns makes Revs a regular in the forward line. Often heard giving ‘ friendly’ advice to his strike partner.

Will Drennan

The Dennis bergkamp of the team. Dren has been a superb acquisition to the squad. Making his debut in the home victory against Burton, Dren is a pacy skilful winger with and eye for goal and assists. Superb in the air.

Graham ‘Reg’ Chipp

When not at a wedding, Reg ‘the fixer’ is another valued member of the FC Buxton family. At home both at Left or Right Back, Reg has the skills in his locker to play one – twos with himself.

Dave Belfield

Grumpers is another regular in the FC Buxton ranks. The free kick and corner ‘expert’ Dave has started games at the both Centre half and Centre Forward. A valuable team member and good round the dressing room

Martin Turner

The Cat Turner is renowned for his eccentric goalkeeping attire and send off to camera at the end of the game. A good goalkeeper, with save at all costs attitude and good controlling of the penalty box. Leader of the famous BBA.

James Wright

Part of the James and Joel duo. A regular at both Training and games. When provided with the opportunity James has a powerful shot which often finds the back of the net.

Chris Hill

Tiff is another character around the dressing room. The self proclaimed David Ginola of the squad he is renowned for his Cardigans and Facial Hair trend setting. A ball playing midfielder, who scored FC’S first ever goal against Stockport.

Gavin Johnson

Big, Bad, Gav is the senior Pro of the Squad. A colossus in the air, who scares both the opposition and at times his own teammates. A superb team player, whose experience is invaluable. Chips in with the odd goal from ‘crosses’.

Steve Bilsland

Billy is a Powerhouse of a midfield player. Scoring a superb 25 yarder against Winster FC. Can put up a goal net in the wind and rain in 5 minutes when it takes 3 people together 15.

Ryan Redfern

15 year older Ryan plays above his years. Superbly competitive, an excellent holding midfielder, sting in the air but can also play in Defence. An eye for goal. An all round player.

Steve Vanstone

FC Buxton’s foreign signing all the way from High Wycome. Signed by manager Corbett on a play if you want contract, Steve is an excellent midfielder player, scoring 4 on debut against Winster FC.

John O’ Mahoney

Umbro John is a good solid team man. When available John can fit in anywhere, also providing good cover. Also good for Kit from Umbro, hence his name.
